We are seeking a dedicated and skilled staff accountant/bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting practices, with exceptional abilities in dealing with owner managed clients. This role is pivotal in supporting our clients through bookkeeping, accounting and taxation matters while meeting compliance deadlines. The candidate will work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality accounting services.
Responsibilities
- Preparing compilation engagement financial information, discussing relevant issues and results with senior staff and owner managers, working along other staff in its preparation of the engagement
- Assisting in preparation of T2 corporate income tax returns
- Preparing T1 personal income tax returns, discussing relevant issues and results with clients,
working with staff in its preparation of the returns
- Bookkeeping using quickbooks, Sage, Excel and Caseware
Experience
- Proven experience in a public accounting practice
- Strong proficiency in completing compilation and bookkeeping engagements
- Personal income tax experience
- Excellent communication skills in dealing with clientele
- Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
