The University of Ottawa is seeking a temporary Research Librarian for the Berkman Library. This role emphasizes innovative library management and comprehensive research support for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
As a Research Librarian, your responsibility will involve overseeing the Berkman Library's operations and services. You will provide essential reference services, instructional programs, and manage a diverse collection that aligns with the needs of health sciences and research teams. Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the daily operations of the Berkman Library • Provide in-depth reference services to users • Develop and deliver instructional programs and workshops • Coordinate document delivery and inter-library loans • Develop library collections, including analysis tools
Requirements: • Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences (MLIS) • Minimum 2 years of professional library experience • Strong skills in information technologies and health sciences • Excellent communication skills in English and French • Ability to adapt and collaborate in a changing workplace
