We are looking for a reliable part time nanny or family helper to help care for our 5-month-old infant son. The role is to provide support while my husband is away for work for extended periods and we are hoping to find someone who can be a calm, reliable and supportive presence

What we are looking for:

- Experience caring for infants
- Knowledge or experience of bottle/feeding aversions and responsive feeding
- Someone who is attentive and confident in reading infant cues.
- Supporting the transition to solids

Schedule:

- We are flexible but anticipate needing help approximately three afternoons per week. Exact days and times can be adjusted to fit the right person’s availability
- We are looking for long-term help and the schedule/hours can evolve as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Caring for our infant: feeding, soothing, playtime and naps
- Assisting with the introduction of solids (following our guidance)




- Light household help related to the baby, such as tidying, the baby’s laundry, bottle washing

About us:

- We have one infant son
- There are no pets in the home
- I will be home working with you but as we build trust I may leave the home for errands, etc.
- My husband will be gone the majority of the time but may be home periodically.

Requirements:

- Infant first-aid/CPR
- Clean criminal record
- Vulnerable sector screening
- References
- A background in nannying or daycare would be an asset
- French speaking would be an asset
