Role Description This full-time Alarm Technician role is an on-site position based in Langley, BC.

The Alarm

Technician installs, configures, and maintains alarm and security systems, including panels, sensors, cameras, and related low-voltage components. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, performing routine inspections and testing, and ensuring all installations meet safety, regulatory, and manufacturer standards. The role also involves educating customers on system operation, providing clear documentation of work performed,



and collaborating with team members and other trades as needed to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

- Experience with Alarm Systems and Life Safety technologies, including installation, programming, testing, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Low Voltage Engineering principles and practical skills in wiring, cabling, and working with low-voltage equipment.
- Strong Troubleshooting abilities for diagnosing technical issues, resolving faults, and optimizing system performance.
- Customer Service skills for communicating clearly, supporting users, and representing the company professionally in office.
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools, and ability to read and interpret technical diagrams or schematics.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to complete tasks safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Langley, BC.
- Previous experience in security systems, electrical, or related technical trades is preferred; relevant certifications or training in alarm or low-voltage systems are an asset.
