Role Description This full-time Analyst, Group Insurance role at Avanco | Assurance Collective is an on-site position based in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan Area. The analyst supports group insurance clients by reviewing plan performance, preparing reports, and analyzing claims and premiums to identify trends and optimization opportunities. Typical responsibilities include validating data, reconciling financial and administrative information, and preparing clear summaries and recommendations for internal teams and clients.

The role collaborates closely with advisors, insurers, and employer clients to answer questions, clarify coverage details, and support renewal and negotiation processes. The analyst also contributes to process improvement, documentation, and compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.

Qualifications

- Strong assurance and group insurance services skills, with the ability to support clients in plan analysis and optimization.
- Solid analytical skills for interpreting data,



identifying trends, and producing accurate reports and recommendations.
- Explicit and professional communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to non-specialist audiences.
- Understanding of finance and financial statements, including basic accounting concepts relevant to premiums, claims, and reserves.
- Proficiency with Excel and other data analysis tools; familiarity with insurance administration or CRM systems is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, actuarial science, business administration, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Professional working proficiency in French and English in the Greater Montreal context is strongly beneficial.
