About Constellation Software

Constellation Software Inc. (TSX: CSU) acquires, manages and builds mission-critical vertical market software businesses around the world. We have acquired over 1,300 software companies since 1995. More at csisoftware.com.

The role

You will source the top of our acquisition funnel. That means finding, sourcing, qualifying, and managing a pipeline of acquisition opportunities. This is an outbound, high-volume seat. It suits someone who is comfortable being told no, who can learn an unfamiliar industry fast, and who is organized enough to build hundreds of relationships in a short time.

What you will do

- Identify and qualify acquisition targets that fit our criteria. Usually owner-operated vertical market software businesses.
- Plan and run outbound prospecting campaigns on LinkedIn, by email, by phone, at trade shows, and in person.
- Build durable relationships with founders, owner-operators and CEOs, and with the bankers, brokers, and PE and VC funds around them.
- Keep our Salesforce CRM current.
- Use AI through the whole job: research, list building, enrichment, drafting, prioritization.
- Work with deal leads across our operating groups to move qualified targets forward.

What we are looking for

Required

- Two to five years in enterprise software sales, outbound business development, or venture capital deal sourcing.
- A track record of hitting and beating targets in a quick-paced outbound environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to build rapport remotely
- Fluency with AI tools for research and outreach — expect us to ask specifically how you use them

- Company research and CRM discipline.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously, thinking independently, and setting your own priorities
- Detail-oriented and entrepreneurial, and able to stay effective when priorities and pressures shift
- Willing to travel now and then to meet companies and attend trade shows.
- Advanced Salesforce experience, including building your own reports.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- A bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field.

Pay and benefits

- Full-time, with a competitive salary, variable pay, and comprehensive benefits.
- A career track that can carry you well past this role.

How to apply

Do the case study below. Identify three software companies that would be a good acquisition fit for

Constellation, given the industries and verticals we already operate in. We are looking for owner-operated vertical market software businesses with longstanding customers.

For each company, give us:

- Name, website, and headquarters location
- One sentence on why it fits

Then tell us, in two or three sentences, how you used AI to get to your answer. We expect you to use it. It is not a mark against you, we want to see how you work.

Email it to [email protected]. Use this exact subject line, with your own name in place of the brackets:
