Business Analyst – Business Intelligence
Location: Remote – Canada
Travel: Must be available to travel to New Brunswick at least once per month
Start Date: September 28, 2026 (or earlier)
Duration: 2 Years + 2 optional 1-year extensions

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Business Intelligence to support a large-scale Clinical Information Solution (CIS) / Digital Health Transformation Program.
The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between clinical, business, operational, technical, and healthcare stakeholders, translating complex business and clinical needs into clear BI requirements, reporting specifications, data definitions, workflows, KPIs, and performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions across multiple healthcare organizations and stakeholder groups.
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business, clinical, operational, and BI requirements.
- Document current-state and future-state workflows, data sources, reporting processes, and business processes.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and reporting specifications.
- Define and document KPIs, performance indicators, metrics, business rules, terminology, and data definitions.
- Support standardization of data dictionaries, clinical terminology, reporting requirements, and business processes.
- Facilitate workshops, focus groups, governance meetings, strategy sessions, and progress-planning meetings.
- Build consensus across multiple organizations, programs, and stakeholder groups.
- Support the design and implementation of BI dashboards, analytics solutions, reporting tools, and data products.
- Lead or support UAT, unit testing, data validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Maintain requirements traceability,
decision logs, action items, risks, issues, dependencies, and project documentation.
- Prepare presentations, executive briefings, stakeholder communications, and sign-off materials.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence Leads, SMEs, clinicians, healthcare administrators, technical teams, and program stakeholders.
- Support the planning and implementation of the CIS data and reporting ecosystem.
Mandatory Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Information Technology, Health Sciences, or a related discipline; equivalent education and progressively responsible experience may be considered.
- 10+ years of progressive Canadian experience in a hospital, digital health, healthcare transformation, or health information setting.
- Experience supporting large-scale Clinical Information System (CIS) implementations, digital health transformation programs, or provincial/regional healthcare modernization initiatives.
- 8+ years of experience translating complex clinical, operational, and business requirements into implementation-ready BI requirements.

Preferred Experience
- 6+ years coordinating meetings, workshops, focus groups,
governance sessions, and stakeholder engagements involving multiple organizations.
- 8+ years of strong presentation, communication, and facilitation experience with executives, clinicians, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
- 8+ years of experience maintaining project documentation, decision logs, requirements traceability, risks, issues, dependencies, and action registers.
- 6+ years of experience achieving consensus across multiple organizations or stakeholder groups on standardized workflows, terminology, performance measures, reporting requirements, and business processes.
- 8+ years analyzing current-state clinical/operational workflows and designing future-state processes enabled by complex Clinical Information Systems or digital health technologies.
- French and English bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred.
- Healthcare, hospital, provincial health authority, or public-sector experience is highly desirable.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a Senior Healthcare Business Analyst / BI Business Analyst who combines strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills with extensive experience in healthcare transformation, clinical information systems, BI, reporting, data standardization, and KPI/metrics definition. Candidates must be comfortable working with provincial and regional healthcare stakeholders, facilitating complex discussions, driving consensus, and translating business and clinical needs into actionable BI requirements.
