A career as a Chief Application Analyst / Electronic Trading Analyst means supporting Electronic Trading and Market Making at National Bank Financial Group.
You will work with our developers, quants, traders and technology experts to implement, test and continuously deliver new features and products to our customers.
Your job
- Understand and become familiar with existing and new trading technologies at NBC as well as in the industry
- Be responsible for reviewing, testing and deploying Market data and Order Entry feed handlers
- Assist in the development of small applications (C++, Java) to assist in our day-to-day support activities
- Be responsible for day-to-day support of trading systems and all components within the system
- Be responsible for post trade activities such as drop copies, etc.
- Interact with internal partners as well as key vendors in all aspects of this role
- Document all efforts for support, maintenance and reference purposes using existing tools.

You are part of a team of 7 colleagues in the Electronic Trading sector and will report to the Senior Manager.

Prerequisites
- Degree in Computer/Software Engineering, or related discipline with a minimum of 1+ years of experience as a Java Developer
- Working knowledge/Experience with Trading Systems, EMS/OMS, SOR’s are assets
- Experience with Perl, Linux, Python, Cloud computing are assets
- Knowledge of C++, Java, an asset
- Data Science, Machine learning and A.I. experience or exposure, an asset
- Enjoy and have interest working within the dynamic environment of Capital/Financial Markets.
Languages: French, English
Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
