Clean Harbors is looking for a Professional Class 1 Driver to join our safety conscious team in Edmonton!

Our experienced EO/Drivers operate wet vac trucks, trailers, tankers, combo units, hydro vacs, and more to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste from generators to Clean Harbors facilities.

Responsibilities

- Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a secure manner at all times;
- Operating and driving equipment to and from work sites;
- Ensuring proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous goods;
- Performing pre and post trip inspections;
- Communicating clearly with dispatchers;
- Doing roadside repairs as needed;
- Maintaining and cleaning company equipment.

Qualifications

- Class 1 (manual) Driver’s License required;
- 1+ years of commercial driving experience required;




- Ability to drive manual transmissions;
- Previous operator experience is preferred;
- Previous experience in a labour intensive position is required (i.e. oil and gas, industrial, etc.);
- Valid Safety Tickets preferred (i.e.

Ground

Disturbance, First Aid with CPR, CSO or CSTS, H2S Alive, Confined Space, Fall Arrest);

- Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time;
- Ability to travel away from home for over 3 weeks;
- Flexibility to work occasionally on call 24/7 for Emergency Response calls.
