84 Instructional Hours (Multiple Locations)

The Teacher will deliver Technological Education to current grade 8 and grade 9 students. Classes are face-to-face and learning will be in-person, weekly and with an asynchronous homework component which students will be expected to complete independently and will be housed within D2L/Brightspace.

Program Dates: Week of September 14, 2026 to Week of April 12, 2027

Subject to annual budget approval and/or annual system organization and/or sufficient program enrolment, the Board intends to offer the following Technological courses:

Assumption College

TXJ1O - Hairstyling and Aesthetics - Monday 4:30-7:30pm, in-person instruction

St. John’s College

TAS1O - with a Health Care focus - Tuesday 4:30-7:30pm, in-person instruction

Qualification(s)

In order to be considered, an applicant must hold the basic qualifications at the time of application:

Basic: Based on course – as noted above

Experience: OCT qualified Teacher

Other

- Demonstrated ability to implement individualized programming both in terms of content and instructional strategies based on the diagnosis needs of the individual student
- Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, curriculum development and assessment/evaluation practices
- Demonstrated understanding of effective assessment practices (e.g., Growing Success); and
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of Brightspace D2L and eLearning

Duties And Responsibilities

- The Teacher will be responsible for planning, instructing, assessing and reporting the Technological Education course content.
