About the Role

Kensington Tours is seeking an experienced and collaborative Cruise Lead to join the Cruise Sales team. The successful candidate will be a strong sales professional with proven cruise sales experience, a passion for mentoring others, and the ability to balance additional leadership responsibilities while managing an individual sales portfolio.

Working closely with the Sales Director and Cruise leadership, the Cruise Lead will provide day-to-day support, coaching, mentorship and cruise expertise to help the team deliver an exceptional client and Travel Advisor experience. This role is both a sales contributor and a trusted team resource, with the opportunity to support team development, strengthen cruise knowledge and contribute to the continued growth of the Kensington Cruise business.

What You’ll Do

Sales Expectations The successful candidate will be expected to manage an individual cruise sales portfolio and meet applicable sales performance standards while fulfilling the Cruise Lead responsibilities:

- Meet all applicable Cruise Sales KPIs and performance expectations.
- Remain accountable for individual sales performance while fulfilling Cruise Lead responsibilities.
- Eligible for all year-end sales awards and recognition at the same standards as a Cruise Expert.
- Cruise Lead responsibilities are expected to require up to 30 - 35 hours per month, allowing the individual to maintain their primary sales responsibilities.

Sales & Team Support

- Support the Sales Director in coaching and developing Cruise Experts, including guidance on pre-trip planning, in-destination trip management, escalations, operations, insurance,



modifications and pricing.
- Monitor Cruise chats and communication channels across the broader Cruise team, including destinations outside of the Cruise Lead’s assigned portfolio, and provide support on questions and escalations.
- Help monitor the Cruise inbox and ensure buddy files are being actioned appropriately.
- Support the Sales Director in managing the lead queue, including reassigning and deleting leads as needed.
- Actively participate in team huddles by sharing updates, insights and best practices.
- Lead the weekly Cruise Team meeting when the Sales Director is out of office.
- Participate in monthly Sales Director/Cruise Lead meetings to discuss team performance, trends and opportunities.

Training, Onboarding & Mentorship

- Support the onboarding of new Cruise Experts, including introductory meetings, ongoing touchpoints, TMT questions and cruise line portal support.
- Support Certification Builds and the ongoing maintenance of the Cruise Compass Portfolio.
- Serve as a mentor and ongoing resource for Cruise Experts by sharing knowledge, supporting skill development and identifying opportunities to strengthen team capability.”

Product & Cruise Expertise

- Maintain expert knowledge of cruise partner portals, products and processes through self-learning,



cruise line certifications and ongoing engagement with cruise partners.
- Identify and communicate changes to cruise line portal processes and procedures.
- Provide product insights and recommendations based on Cruise strategy, including recent services, itinerary changes and new vendor opportunities.
- Support the onboarding of new cruise vendors and services as needed.
- Promote the creation, ticketing and enhancement of existing TMT service builds.
- Identify opportunities to improve the Cruise product and overall client experience.

FAM Support

- Support the creation and coordination of FAM trips in accordance with Kensington guidelines.
- When participating in a FAM, serve as a Cruise Lead by supporting team members with questions and providing real-time product expertise.
- Share key learnings and product insights with the broader Cruise team following FAM participation.

What You’ll Bring

- Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated success selling cruise products, either as a Cruise Expert or in another internal role with cruise sales accountability.
- Strong knowledge of cruise products, cruise line portals, booking processes and sales best practices.
- A collaborative approach and natural ability to coach, mentor and support peers.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to balance individual sales performance with additional team support responsibilities.
- A proactive mindset and willingness to share knowledge, identify opportunities and contribute to team success.
