Position Summary

Based out of Halifax, NS,



the Deskside Support Administrator plays a crucial role in Crombie ensuring effective IT operation al procedures are in compliance with EPMO & Technology policies and procedures .

The Deskside Support

Administrator also diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves technical issues related to hardware, software, applications, and computer systems while providing excellent proactive customer service. Additional duties of the Deskside Support Administrator include but are not limited to:

- Monitors and resolves daily operational e-mail requests from the Crombie IT inbox in a timely manner.
- Identifies and escalates production critical issues to appropriate groups.
- Diligently follows Crombie polices and procedures which are in line with applicable legislation while efficiently solving for issues that impact our employees. In the name of continuous improvement suggests changes to policies, processes and procedures to better serve Crombie.
- Supports and maintains Crombie’s network infrastructure within the Meraki environment, ensuring compliance with security standards and operational best practices by:

- - Assisting with monitoring, troubleshooting, and understanding the network architecture to provide effective support.

- - Contributing to the ongoing transition toward a fully Meraki-based hardware setup across all sites.
- Manages end-user devices by creating and deploying operating system images for various devices including but not limited to desktops, laptops, iOS devices, etc., and assisting with all hardware refreshes.
- Manages the availability and readiness of backup hardware.
- Supports various projects by working with vendors, documenting meeting minutes, conducting tests, generating reports, troubleshooting issues to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provides support for Worldwide Parking Systems (WPS) from an IT perspective, including managing updates and integrations, identifying and resolving errors, updating and testing programming and software systems, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots,



and resolves technical issues and questions related to a variety of systems and equipment, including but not limited to:

- - Computers (Desktops & Laptops)

- - iOS Devices

- - Printers

- - Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems

- - Parking systems

- - Mechanical Network

- - Access Points
- Develops knowledge of Crombie's technology and system platforms and creates and maintains documentation as required.
- Assists the IT team in evaluating existing systems and new technologies and contributes to recommendations for improvements.
- Engages across all levels of the organization to create and promote a safe and respectful work environment.
- Other special projects and tasks as assigned.

The profile we are looking for

- Post-secondary education in the field of Computer Science or IT Management .
- One to two years’ experience working (including Coop experience) on troubleshooting, and resolving issues with computers, and supporting users located on site or in other cities .

- Ex tremely comfortable with providing in-person and remote support with the ability to establish and maintain positive, working relationships with peers, project stakeholders, resources, and senior management.
- Focus on delivering quality client service with a strong service focus .
- Ability to understand business and technical requirements and assist in developing practical IT solutions.
- Solid interpersonal skills .
- Proven communication, listening and team building skills .
- Self-directed with the ability to prioritize work, manage competing demands, and take initative.
- Passion for identifying cutting-edge solutions to enhance systems and processes .
