: The Executive Assistant is directly accountable to the Deputy Chief Medical Officer - Saskatoon of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and provides executive and project support in a one-on-one working relationship.
The Executive
Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining the office of the Deputy Chief Medical Officer.
The Executive
Assistant also serves as a liaison to the portfolio and Physician Executive team. This position ensures that processes are in place to support the efficient and effective operation of the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, through accurate, timely and efficient execution of executive administration support functions. The incumbent works closely, in a team-oriented and co-operative manner, with members of executive Physician team to assist in accomplishing the provincial health authority’s objectives. This position will research, analyze and develop policies, briefings and proposals as required. Collaboration, coordination, project management/organizational and communication is key to this role.
The incumbent co-ordinates workflow with other administration support staff in the Physician Executive Team Office and, in their absence, may provide support services the CMO and other members of the Physician Executive Team.

Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience working in a research/policy analyst or senior administrative assistant-type role
- Supervisory experience
Licenses:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education & Training:
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable

Knowledge & Abilities:
- Expert written and verbal communication skills including excellent proficiency in editing material for clarity, accuracy and conciseness

- Excellent computer skills, with a good working knowledge of various programs, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange, Schedule Plus, Visio, Intranet/Internet, and the capability to learn new programs as required
- Ability to adapt to frequent change and work under pressure
- Ability to work collegially, collaboratively and build positive relationships through respectful and influential interactions
- Ability to learn and develop a working knowledge of the organization, including its governance and organizational structure and relationships
- Be self directed,
and confident in applying independent judgment
- Possess a high degree of initiative, ingenuity, including the ability to work with little, and/or no, supervision
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality including handling confidential information with discretion
