Role Description The Extracurricular Programs Teacher is a part-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON. The teacher will plan and lead afterschool classes for students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons across a range of extracurricular subjects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, facilitating interactive activities, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering a supportive,



inclusive setting.

The role also involves monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, communicating with families and school staff as needed, and contributing to program improvement. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to align programming with Bright Ones Academy’s mission of nurturing whole-child development.

Qualifications

- Strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience working with children and teens
- Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning and Training, including designing age-appropriate, skill-building extracurricular activities.
- Excellent Communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with colleagues, and interacting professionally with families and school partners.
- Experience in classroom management and creating inclusive, supportive learning environments.
- Post-secondary education in Education or a related field is an asset
- Ability to work on-site in Toronto, ON, with flexibility for afterschool and early evening hours.
