Overview
This position assists in maintenance and operation of the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium (The Aud).

Responsibilities
- Building and equipment maintenance, Customer services and janitorial duties.
- Ice making and maintenance.
- Coordinates the work and direction to part-time/casual staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
- Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in operating and maintaining an artificial ice facility.
Additional Requirements
- Valid MTO Class G driver’s license in good standing with the ability to provide a clean Drivers Abstract at your own expense as a condition of employment.
- Versatile to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to complete course training in preparing and installing ice surfaces for recreational facilities.
- Ability to complete ORFA courses in safe standard of ice services for compliance with ORFA and progress through progression criteria to Facility Operator Technician.
- Demonstrated communication/customer service skills.
- Ability to keep accurate written records.
- Physical labour is a requirement of this position, must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to participate as an effective team member.
- Willing to attend all mandatory staff training sessions and successfully pass the course requirements.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must successfully complete all required professional criteria as it relates to this job title.
- Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
