What You’ll Do
- Process cattle: induction, re-handling, vaccinations, implants, ear tags, and weight recording
- Sort cattle for marketing and move them safely within the feedlot
- Maintain pens, equipment, and water bowls
- Follow all safety and standard operating procedures
- Communicate daily with feedlot manager, feed truck driver, and occasionally office staff or contractors
What We’re Looking For
- Reliability, attention to detail, safety awareness, teamwork, initiative
- Cattle handling and herd health knowledge
- Basic computer skills and effective communication
Requirements
- High school diploma (asset)
- Agriculture or feedlot experience (asset)
- Class 5 driver’s license
- Weekend availability
Working Conditions
Outdoor work in all weather, generally 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary). Dress appropriately for conditions.
