Role : Guidewire Tech Lead / Guidewire Architect

Our client is looking for a Guidewire Tech Lead / Guidewire Architect to own the technical design and integration strategy for Guidewire Insurance Suite (Policy Center, Billing Center, Claim Center). This role focuses on solution architecture, technical governance, and long-term platform strategy — not day-to-day team management.

Key Responsibilities

- Design end-to-end architecture for Guidewire solutions across implementation, upgrade, and cloud migration programs.
- Define integration architecture with upstream/downstream systems (rating engines, document generation, payment gateways, third-party data).
- Own the data model strategy and configuration-vs-customization decisions.
- Set non-functional standards: performance, scalability, security, and availability.
- Produce architecture decision records (ADRs) and present solutions to Aviva's Enterprise Architecture team and senior stakeholders.
- Guide upgrade/migration efforts to Guidewire Cloud.
- Define coding standards and technical governance for development teams to follow.
- Assess technical risk and provide solutions for complex design challenges.

Must-Have Skills





- Proven years in software architecture, with Proven years on Guidewire Insurance Suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter).
- Experience as an architect on full implementation or upgrade projects.
- Strong knowledge of Gosu scripting, GX Model, and Guidewire Studio.
- Experience designing integrations (APIs, batch processes, messaging).
- Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud Platform.
- Solid Java, SQL, and web services (REST/SOAP) background.
- Working knowledge of P&C; insurance — policy, billing, and claims.
- Robust stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
- Guidewire certification (Ace Certified) preferred.
