Position Overview:

Join Finning Canada, the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer. We are currently looking for a dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic who will be responsible for the field maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar engines and auxiliary equipment, based in the Grande Prairie area. If you are a safety conscious team player, self-motivated, autonomous, detail-oriented and possess your Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification with a valid driver’s license, then you are exactly who we are looking for!

Major Job Functions

- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in a field environment
- Interact with customers, product and sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
- Working with the supervisor on various tasks
- Providing support with reference to in office safety requirements
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
- Complete technical documentation and reports

Specific Skills & Experience

- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset




- Completion or be in the process of completing Finning S-level courses would also be considered an asset

Notes

- Availability to occasionally work out of town for a week
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
- Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
