About The Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated Human Resources Business Partner to join our HR team in a hybrid capacity, offering flexibility to work remotely and from our Waterloo Corporate office within Ontario. This full-time position reports directly to the Regional Human Resources Manager and plays a pivotal role in aligning HR strategies with organizational objectives. The HR Business Partner will serve as the primary contact for all people-related matters within their designated client groups, providing expert guidance on employment legislation, employee relations, and HR best practices.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong generalist background, sound judgment, and exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling them to foster positive relationships across various levels of the organization and support our mission to deliver outstanding healthcare services.

Qualifications

- University or College degree/diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field is required.
- CHRP/CHRL designation is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience across multiple HR disciplines,



demonstrating a broad understanding of human resource functions.
- Experience working in large, multi-site, unionized environments is an asset.
- Experience within the healthcare or homecare sectors is advantageous.
- High level of personal integrity and a strong commitment to ethical practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive and responsive approach.
- Demonstrated leadership, influencing, relationship-building, and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under pressure, with strong project management capabilities.
- Self-motivated, independent worker with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both tactful and skilled, suitable for engaging with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace new ideas and methodologies.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication.
- Ability to pass a clear background check.

Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive HR support and coaching to designated client groups across key areas including employee and labor relations, recruitment, performance management, recognition, engagement, remuneration, learning and development, and succession planning.
- Act as a strategic advisor to organizational leaders, ensuring structures, processes,



and competencies are aligned to achieve both short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Support employees by managing and communicating employee relations issues fairly, effectively, and in compliance with applicable legislation and collective agreements.
- Assist in interpreting, administering, and negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and lead grievance resolution, mediation, and investigations within the client groups.
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to business leaders.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of HR on various people-related projects, contributing to organizational development initiatives.
- Uphold and promote CarePartners core values of patient-focus, integrity, accountability, partnership, teamwork, transparency, respect, and innovation in all interactions.
