JR. Human Resources Coordinator Position Summary The JR.
Human Resources
Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team across recruitment, onboarding, employee administration, and HR service delivery. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and candidates, ensuring HR processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable legislation. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate coordination, interviews, hiring, and onboarding.
- Respond to employee and candidate inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer service and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases, and confidential personnel files.
- Prepare, process, and audit HR documentation, employment-related forms, and employee transactions.
- Coordinate orientations and assist with HR training sessions and departmental events.
- Assist with employee offboarding, reporting,
and record management activities.
- Support compliance with company policies, collective agreements, employment legislation, and internal procedures.
- Prepare reports, track HR metrics, and assist with government and organizational reporting requirements.
- Support HR projects, recruitment events, career fairs, and other departmental initiatives.
- Perform general administrative duties and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and services
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- 0-1 years of experience in administrative or human resource role.
- Manufacturing and/or unionized environment experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record keeping.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
