Position: Locum Plastic Surgeon
Deadline: October 31, 2026

/ Duties A locum opportunity is available within a high-volume academic plastic surgery practice affiliated with McMaster University and St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton from January through June 2027, to provide maternity leave coverage, with the potential for extension thereafter. The practice is predominantly focused on hand surgery, with additional operative volume in breast reduction and other routine breast procedures, as well as a substantial minor surgery practice including skin cancer, benign lesions, and other common soft-tissue lumps and bumps.
Current clinical resources include a minimum of one main operating room day per week, one minor procedure day, and one ambulatory clinic day per week,

This would be well suited to a plastic surgeon seeking a broad-based clinical and operative practice within an academic hospital workplace, with the possibility of transitioning to a longer-term position pending application for a future posting of an academic position.
Qualifications / Required Skills
Broad plastic surgery skills, including microsurgery. Advanced hand surgery training is advantageous
