Job Role: Mainframe Developer

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)

Mode of Hiring: Contract

Summary

- We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with strong experience in IBM Mainframe technologies.
- The candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements developing and maintaining batch and online applications supporting production issues and delivering high quality solutions in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business requirements and perform impact analysis
- Design develops test and maintain Mainframe applications
- Develop and enhance programs using COBOL CICS DB2 VSAM and JCL
- Create and maintain batch jobs procedures and utilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and application defects
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards




- Collaborate with business analysts QA teams and stakeholders during SDLC phases
- Support application deployments and postproduction activities
- Prepare technical design and support documentation
- Experience in application development enhancement and production support
- Strong debugging troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of SDLC Agile methodologies and release processes.
- Experience with IBM Mainframe environments zOS TSOISPF.
