Duties and Responsibilities

Operations: Consistently deliver a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, re-lamping, painting, drywall repair
- General troubleshooting of various styles of equipment
- Repair and maintain railings, gates, TV hangers, doors, flag poles and grandstand seating
- Installation and remove building assets as boards, tiles, desk
- Maintain washrooms: repair water closets, urinals, wash basins, showers as needed
- Snow and ice removal including shoveling, salting and plowing
- Respond to emergencies such as fire and water leaks
- Assist outside contractors and tradesmen as required
- Complete and maintain all documents/records in a timely and accurate manner as required. This includes work orders, logbooks, inspection logs, and other documents used in the performance of your duties.
- Ensure inventory supplies are adequate and readily available
- Clean and maintain assigned vehicle
- Ensure work area and assigned tools and equipment are kept clean and tidy
- Ensure utility rooms and other areas, including public areas assigned, are clean and tidy.




- Complete work in a secure and effective manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Ensure that you swipe in before your shift and swipe out at the end of your shift every time.

Customer Service: Demonstrate service excellence by consistently delivering timely, quality work and team responsiveness

- Demonstrate and model professionalism, courtesy, consideration and respect to internal and WEG customers
- Respond in a timely and effective manner to unexpected and immediate needs of customers

- Consistently uphold and demonstrate safety rules and standards as designated by Department
- Demonstrate and comply with Employee Handbook, uniform and safety boot requirements at all times
- Consistently adhere to company policies and procedures

Communication: Manage information to maintain and improve service satisfaction, teamwork and perational effectiveness

- Report any special occurrences or discrepancies to department management
- Advise department management of any occurrences which may compromise or be damaging to positive customer relations
- Inform department management of any occurrences which may impede operational efficiency
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improving service or operational performance to department management

Experience/Training/Special Skills/Education Required

- Minimum grade 12 diploma
- Minimum 2 years related experience in general building maintenance




- Good understanding of HVAC equipment and systems

- Sound mechanical knowledge
- General knowledge of electrical systems
- Ability to provide own basic hand tools
- Must have and maintain a valid Ontario driver’s license “G” or “G2”
- Must have and maintain valid AGCO
- Solid understanding of WHMIS and Health and Safety procedures
- Able to understand, read, write and converse effectively in English
- Available for shift work, weekends, holidays and overtime
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay rate: $28.51 during probation period and $29.26 after probation
