Brief Description
Marshall Land Systems is seeking a Manager – Quality Assurance to join our team in Moncton, NB. Reporting to the Senior Quality Manager, the Manager – Quality Assurance will be responsible for ensuring product compliance with customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
The Manager – Quality Assurance will also ensure the Marshall Land Systems Canada Inc. Moncton QMS remains compliant with all applicable aspects of the ISO 9001 standard, including relevant industry standards, customer requirements, and statutory and regulatory requirements, while driving the ongoing improvement and effectiveness of the QMS.
Your responsibilities in this role:
- Maintain and continuously improve an ISO9001 certified system.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure the development and implementation of required procedures, policies, and work instructions as part of the QMS.
- Provide necessary procedures, policies, and work instructions required to maintain the quality system.
- Manage internal and external audit program including review and closure of corrective actions.
- Oversee the process of product sign offs.
- Conduct/participate in internal audits per the audit schedule (include product/process, capability, planning, part/component certifications, inspections).
- Identify priorities, schedule and ensure completion of internal audits to meet relevant regulations, standards and compliance to the QMS.
- Investigate any quality issues to identify root cause and raise appropriate corrective action paperwork, ensure issues are addressed and drive the improvements.
- Support and maintain a calibration system for measuring equipment.
- Determine appropriate KPIs collate data, identify trends and present to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and conduct Management review meetings that are in accordance with the latest ISO standard.
- Promote a positive quality culture across the business.
- Train quality team and stakeholders on the QMS, processes, audit preparation and other quality related items.
- Champion application and usage of IFS and Q-Pulse systems, including providing the necessary training.
- Provide supervision, assignment / monitoring of tasks, and coaching of Quality Team.
- Develop individualized objectives and clear accountabilities for Quality Team members.
- Provide individually tailored development support to enable growth, address performance / conduct concerns, conduct performance reviews.
- Provide quality systems and audit preparation training.
- Other duties as assigned.
Apply if you have most of the following:
- A University Degree or College Diploma in a related field, or equivalent experience/knowledge gained through other forms of education or training.
- Proven experience in a quality assurance role.
- Experience working in a ISO9001 certified manufacturing facility or company.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, superior organizational abilities, and excellent computer skills.
- Proven experience as Internal Auditor, Lead Auditor experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of quality standards and testing methodologies.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, Assembly diagrams.
- Knowledge of quality inspection principles.
- Willing to work shift work if required.
- Knowledge of ERP systems; knowledge of IFS is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 commensurate on qualifications and work experience.
