Overview

As our Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will lead the technical development and coordination of innovative geothermal projects from concept through construction.
What You'll Do
- Oversee multidisciplinary design activities, ensuring geothermal systems are fully coordinated, constructible, and delivered on schedule.
- Review and coordinate mechanical and geothermal system designs, drawings, specifications, energy models, and engineering reports.
- Identify and resolve design challenges, constructability issues, and coordination conflicts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead design meetings, client presentations, and stakeholder discussions, providing guidance and decision-making support.
- Coach and support engineering team members while establishing clear priorities, accountability, and project workflows.
- Provide assistance and guidance during construction, commissioning, and system optimization, helping ensure successful project delivery and long-term system performance.
- Create and deliver reports, presentations, and project documentation that communicate key information, support project teams, and ensure data accuracy throughout project execution.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5 years of experience in mechanical building systems, HVAC design, consulting engineering, construction, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, hydronics, heat pumps, and mechanical building design principles.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering projects, managing consultants, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong AutoCAD skills with the ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and models.
- Proficient in project management, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's licence.
Nice to Have
- P.Eng. designation.
- Experience with geothermal or building decarbonization projects.
Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and Ontario Building Code requirements What We Offer

- Compensation: $95,000 to $130,000 per year, based on experience.
