THE ROLE The Mental Performance Specialist will deliver the mental performance (resiliency) program, as well as assist with facilitation of the Mental Performance Train-the-Trainer courses, as directed by manager.

The Mental Performance

Specialist will facilitate and deliver workshops on mental performance topics, as well as collaborate, create,



facilitate and deliver mental performance workshops and/or briefs based on the demands/needs of the environment and/or local Base/Wing/Unit (B/W/U) chain of command.

The Mental Performance

Specialist will provide one-on-one mental performance coaching services, as well as prepare teaching materials and pre/post questionnaires.

Qualifications Needed

Education, Certifications and Licenses

Master’s degree in Sports Psychology, Kinesiology, Health Studies or a related field AND some years of experience in Mental Performance coaching

AND

Current Canadian Sports Psychology Association (CPSA) Professional Member

Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification

Experience In planning, organizing, researching, creating and developing mental training programs In delivering mental training programs In planning and conducting mental training courses, workshops, presentations and specialized clinics In determining the effectiveness and efficiency of delivered mental performance training In development of reports In presenting reports and findings In applying policies, procedures, and regulations

Competencies

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

Language Requirements

English Essential or French Essential. Bilingual (English and French) an asset
