The 48000-square-foot head office and production facility, located at 15 Winfield Way in northwest Winnipeg, is strategically positioned near major carriers and access routes. This site focuses on tube cutting, bending, roll forming, fabrication using both robotic and manual processes, and assembly of tube structures, supported by efficient warehousing operations.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MIG Welder role based at MSP’s Winnipeg, MB facility. The MIG Welder will perform welding and fabrication of tube structures and components according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Daily tasks include setting up welding equipment, preparing materials, positioning and clamping workpieces, and completing MIG welds on various tube assemblies.





The role involves inspecting welds for quality and accuracy, performing basic equipment maintenance, and collaborating with production and quality teams to meet project deadlines. The MIG Welder is expected to follow all safety procedures, contribute to a clean and organized work area, and support MSP’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in MIG Welding and Welding for production and fabrication environments.
- Experience with Arc Welding and TIG Welding as complementary welding processes.
- Knowledge of Materials relevant to tube fabrication, including metals, alloys, and their properties.
- Previous experience as a welder or fabricator in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures.
- Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and ability to maintain consistent weld quality.
- Completion of a welding certificate, apprenticeship, or related technical training is an asset.
