Position Details
- Location: Toronto & Niagara Region, Ontario
- Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and currently reside in the Toronto or Niagara region.
- Engagement Type: Part-Time Contractor.
- Schedule: A fixed part-time schedule to be agreed upon within standard business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST).
- Work Model: Primarily Remote with Occasional On-Site Visits
About the role
We're looking for a Microsoft 365 Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate already knows their way around a support environment and is ready to specialize in Microsoft technologies.
You'll provide on-site Level 1 and Level 2 support remotely and at a client site, handle tickets across our client base, support our internal team, and work alongside our senior consultants on live Microsoft 365 projects.
This role is deliberately broad. Exposure across client environments, internal systems and real project work is what will make you a robust Microsoft consultant far faster than a single-focus support position.
What you'll do
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 Microsoft 365 support, primarily remotely. Support activities include troubleshooting Exchange Online, Microsoft 365 Apps, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Intune, and Entra ID; managing user accounts, MFA, licensing, device enrollment, connectivity, and day-to-day end-user technical issues. Occasional in office visits to client locations throughout the Toronto and Niagara region may be required when issues need hands-on attention, such as hardware troubleshooting, device deployments, connectivity problems, or workstation setup.
- Handle support tickets across our client base remotely, with clear communication and timely follow-through.
- Act as internal IT support for the VNEXT team — onboarding, device setup, account administration and general troubleshooting.
- Work alongside our senior consultants on Microsoft 365 project delivery — administration, configuration, documentation and testing across Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Intune.
What we're looking for
- 2–4 years of experience providing end-user support within Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with Entra ID (Azure AD), user and license administration, and basic endpoint management (Intune an asset).
- Comfortable working on-site and face-to-face with users — strong communication and a service-oriented mindset.
- Able to work independently, prioritize across multiple clients, and follow through without supervision.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and currently reside in the Toronto or Niagara region, Ontario.
What we offer
- Work alongside senior Microsoft consultants on live enterprise projects.
- Genuine variety — on-site support, remote tickets and hands-on project work, by design.
- A clear route to move from generalist support into a Microsoft consulting role.
- Microsoft Certifications fully sponsored.
This role may not be the right fit if:
- Your experience is primarily in general IT support and does not include hands-on support for Microsoft 365 environments.
- You are looking for a purely remote help desk role with no client-facing responsibilities.
- You prefer a narrowly focused position rather than a mix of support, administration, and project work.
