Schedule/Location of Work:

We are currently hiring for Day Shift Position with a consistent, work-life-friendly schedule:

10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday)

6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Based at our facility in Rosenort, MB (just 35 minutes south of Winnipeg)

About the Role:

As a CNC plasma nesting specialist, you play a critical role in maximizing material efficiency and supporting our production team. Using specialized nesting software, you will create optimized layouts for cutting metal or other materials, ensuring minimal waste while meeting production requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Collaborate with production planners and department team lead to develop schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets on the cutting tables.
- Ensure accurate nesting processes to optimize material usage and reduce waste.
- Ensure work orders are properly closed and completed on time.




- Collaborate with the department team lead on rush order processes ensuring optimal turn around.
- Effective time management is expected daily to achieve efficiencies and expected output.
- Daily clock ins are required using ADP, along with vacation requests, PTO requests.

Skills & Abilities

- Proficiency in Pro Nest to create and modify cutting paths.

- Ability to calculate areas, dimensions, and material requirements for parts and nests.

- Basic math for measuring, calculating material usage, and verifying quantities.

- Ability to visualize how parts will fit together in a nest and how the plasma cutter will operate on a 2D surface.

- Understanding of cutting processes and material handling.

Education/Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical or trade school training in manufacturing, welding, CAD/CAM, or related field is an asset.
- Experience using nesting software, CAD/CAM systems, or CNC machinery is preferred.

On-the-job training may be provided for the right candidate with strong aptitude and attention to detail.

Other Requirements:

- Must reside in Manitoba
- Possess a valid class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to commute to our facility in Rosenort, Manitoba
