Network Solutions Architect

Purpose

As a Solution Architect with a focus on Networking, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure IT infrastructure solutions that align with strategic goals. You will contribute to the development of domain-specific infrastructure strategies and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Responsibilities

· Design and implement end-to-end network infrastructure solutions (LAN, WAN, SDN, Cloud Networking).

· Contribute to domain-level infrastructure strategy and reference architecture.

· Ensure alignment with Architecture practices and standards.

· Evaluate and optimize network performance, cost efficiency, and security.

· Lead complex infrastructure projects and ensure technical integrity.

· Implement disaster recovery and high availability solutions.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Solution Designers, Divisional Architects, and Shared Services.

· Mentor junior architects and designers within the domain.

· Maintain architectural documentation and solution designs.

· Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory mandates.

· Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers.

Scope

· Focused on domain-specific and enterprise-wide infrastructure projects.

· Strategic influence on divisional and enterprise architecture decisions.

Measures of Success

· High project satisfaction scores from stakeholders.

· Reduction in architectural skill gaps across teams.





· Successful delivery of scalable and secure network solutions.

Skills & Qualifications

· Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, QoS, IPv4/IPv6).

· Experience with network design and modeling tools.

· Proficiency in cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP).

· Knowledge of SDN, VPNs, firewalls, and network security best practices.

· Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, Bicep).

· Robust written and verbal communication.

· Ability to educate, influence, and collaborate across teams.

· Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Education & Certifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

· TOGAF certification as asset.

· Specialized certifications in networking (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, CompTIA Network+).
