Job Title: OnBase API Developer

Location: Halifax, NS, Canada (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced OnBase API Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Hyland OnBase, API integrations, and enterprise application development. The ideal candidate will have deep experience building, enhancing, and supporting integrations between OnBase and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, .NET/C#, SQL, and document workflow/management solutions.

This role requires a solid understanding of OnBase architecture, document workflows, Unity/API integrations, and backend application development, and involves close collaboration with business, QA, infrastructure, and support teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and support OnBase integrations with internal and external enterprise applications
- Build and maintain APIs/services for document upload, retrieval, indexing, workflow actions, and metadata exchange
- Develop solutions using OnBase Unity API, Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, and related integration tools
- Configure and customize OnBase workflows, document types, keywords, forms, and lifecycle processes
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders on document management and workflow requirements
- Integrate OnBase with ERP, CRM, core business platforms, and third-party applications
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide application support
- Write and optimize SQL queries/stored procedures for data validation, reporting, and backend integration
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, deployment, and release support
- Ensure security, scalability,



and performance of OnBase-related integrations
- Maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, and support guides
- Work closely with DevOps/infrastructure teams for deployments and environment support

Mandatory Skills

- 8+ years in Hyland OnBase development/integration
- Hyland OnBase certification
- Strong experience with OnBase API development: Unity API, OnBase Web Services, REST/SOAP integrations
- Hands-on OnBase configuration: Document Types, Keywords, Workflows, User Groups/Roles, Forms/Unity Forms
- Strong programming experience in C#/.NET
- Strong SQL Server/Oracle experience with complex query writing
- Experience building and consuming APIs and web services
- Strong understanding of DMS, ECM, and workflow solutions
- Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and production support
- Experience with OnBase Workflow, Work View, Unity Forms, and DIP (Document Import Processor)
- Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management support models
- Exposure to document imaging, scanning, OCR, and records management
- Robust communication and stakeholder coordination skills

Good to Have

- OnBase administration and environment management
- Experience integrating OnBase with other enterprise systems
- Familiarity with Windows Services, IIS, batch jobs, and middleware integration
- Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of OAuth2, SSO, LDAP, SAML
- Performance tuning and optimization experience
- Insurance, healthcare, or financial services domain experience
- Microservices architecture experience
