Role Description The Parts Specialist and Receiver is a full time, on-site role located in Brampton, ON. This role is responsible for ordering, receiving, and organizing automotive parts, verifying shipments against purchase orders, and ensuring accurate entry into the inventory management system. The individual will assist internal service technicians and external customers by identifying required parts, preparing quotes, and processing parts sales at the counter and over the phone.
Daily tasks include maintaining stock levels, labeling and shelving parts, conducting regular inventory counts,
and coordinating returns or warranty claims with suppliers. The role also involves working closely with the service and sales departments to support efficient repair and maintenance operations, while upholding Performance Auto Group’s standards for customer care and safety.
Qualifications
- Experience with automotive parts, including identifying, sourcing, and cataloging parts using electronic catalog systems.
- Strong inventory management skills, including receiving, storing, tracking, and reconciling stock accurately.
- Customer service and communication skills for supporting technicians, retail customers, and supplier interactions.
- Basic computer proficiency with dealership management systems, inventory software, and standard office applications.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to handle documentation, invoices, and warranty or return processing.
- Ability to lift and move parts safely and to work in a fast-paced, shop and warehouse environment.
- Previous experience in an automotive dealership or parts department is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive or parts-related training or certification is an advantage.
