About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated SSV Project Engineer to join our R&D; team, reporting directly to the SSV R&D; Team Lead. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and validation of mechanical systems for our line of recreational vehicle products. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of innovative, reliable, and high-performance components that meet both customer expectations and regulatory standards.

This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of BRP's recreational vehicles by translating conceptual ideas into tangible, functional systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, production, purchasing, quality assurance, and manufacturing engineering, as well as external suppliers, throughout various stages of product development. Your work will involve establishing performance criteria, creating validation plans, conducting road tests, and performing technical analyses to ensure the robustness and efficiency of mechanical systems.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Proficiency in both written and spoken English and French is essential to facilitate effective communication within our diverse team. Candidates should have a solid understanding of mechanical principles, tolerancing, and the strength of materials, along with familiarity with the operating and design principles of motor vehicle mechanical systems.

Experience with predictive calculation tools and technical analysis is highly valued. Proven project management skills, adaptability, and the ability to learn quickly are crucial for success in this role. Additionally, candidates should be willing and able to travel occasionally to various manufacturing sites. Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and validation of mechanical systems for recreational vehicles, ensuring alignment with project goals and standards.
- Translate concepts into detailed technical specifications and develop components from initial concept through to production readiness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Establish performance criteria and create comprehensive validation plans for each system, overseeing their implementation and testing.




- Participate in road tests and field validation activities to assess system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct technical studies, analyses, and calculations using relevant parameters to guide design decisions and technical development.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing test data and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain documentation and reports related to design, validation, and testing activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
