Role Description The Real Estate Associate will handle a wide range of real estate matters including drafting and reviewing purchase and sale agreements and other transactional documents. Day-to-day work will include advising clients on residential real estate transactions. The associate will collaborate with the senior lawyer and clients to manage deals from initial APS through closing, prepare due diligence materials, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
This is a full-time remote role that requires proactive communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters and d eadlines.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Residential Real Estate Transactions,
including due diligence, contract negotiation, and closing processes.
- Strong background in general Real Estate law, including property rights, title issues, and land use considerations.
Experience with Private Mortgages, including drafting, reviewing, and registratio an asset.
- Experience with Leases, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and residential lease agreements an asset.
- Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate transactions, such as acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and property management matters an asset.
- JD or LL. B from an accredited law school and active bar admission in Ontario

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex legal concepts for clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with the team.
- Prior law firm experience in real estate or transactional practice is required.
- Commitment to ethical practice, client service, and maintaining a respectful, inclusive workplace.
