Calgary
Fixed-term contract, 15 months to cover an employee’s leave of absence
Remote (Canada); Calgary preferred
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience + perks.
Start date: October 1, 2026
Position Summary
Reporting Hub is seeking an experienced Head of Sales & Customer Success to lead and execute the full commercial cycle during a 15-month maternity leave. Reporting Hub is an AI-native intelligence orchestration platform built on Power BI, deployed inside the customer's own Azure environment and powered by our governed AI engine, BI Genius. Our customers are software companies, services firms, and regulated enterprises that deliver analytics and AI to their own external audiences.
This is a standalone, end-to-end role. The successful candidate will own both new-business sales and customer success, carrying each account through the full journey: initial demonstration, installation and onboarding, proof of value, purchase, renewal, and expansion. Note that Reporting Hub follows an install-first model, where customers deploy and onboard onto the platform before they purchase, so onboarding and early success are central to converting a prospect into a paying customer, not just to supporting one afterwards.
This is a hands-on position in a small, high-ownership company; the incumbent is both the strategic owner of the commercial function and its primary individual contributor. The role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the Product team.
The primary objective is continuity: maintain and grow the sales pipeline, deliver a high standard of service to existing customers, and protect renewal and expansion revenue throughout the contract term.
Key Responsibilities
Sales
- Manage the sales pipeline from qualified opportunity to closed-won, including product demonstrations, discovery, qualification against the ideal customer profile, objection handling, and commercial negotiation.
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations that map Reporting Hub's capabilities to each prospect's business requirements.
- Guide prospects through the install-first journey, from demonstration into installation, onboarding, and proof of value, converting successful deployments into purchases.
- Maintain accurate, current records of all pipeline activity, forecasts, and deal stages in HubSpot.
Onboarding, Installation & Proof of Value
- Own the customer installation process end to end, including guiding customers through deployment and resolving any issues that arise during installation.
- Lead the onboarding of prospective and new customers, including success-planning sessions, initial configuration guidance, and early adoption support.
- Because customers onboard before they purchase, ensure each account reaches a clear proof of value that supports the decision to buy.
Account Management & Customer Success
- Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise and higher-tier accounts.
- Manage the ongoing customer relationship through regular check-ins and periodic account reviews to ensure sustained value and satisfaction.
- Monitor account health, identify churn risk early, and lead retention interventions.
Renewals & Expansion
- Own the renewal calendar and lead all renewal negotiations to protect recurring revenue.
- Identify and pursue expansion opportunities (tier upgrades, additional capacity, premium AI intelligence) aligned to each customer's growth.
Customer Community, Content & Documentation
- Manage and grow the customer community, fostering engagement by responding to member enquiries, posting product release updates, sharing resources and best practice, and encouraging active participation among members.
- Maintain the onboarding content that lives within the community.
- Update and improve the Reporting Hub product documentation, using feedback and gaps identified during onboarding to keep it accurate and complete.
Cross-Functional & Operational
- Gather customer and market feedback and communicate product gaps and requirements to the Product team to inform the roadmap.
- Act as the liaison between customers and the support team when a customer runs into an issue, coordinating resolution and keeping the customer informed.
- Manage day-to-day account operations, including customer support enquiries, billing and licensing matters, and account administration.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in B2B sales, customer success, or account management, including demonstrated ownership of a full commercial cycle from acquisition through renewal.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue, retention, or expansion targets.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities as a sole owner of a function.
- Strong product demonstration, discovery, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
- Experience managing enterprise-level customer relationships, including senior-stakeholder engagement and formal business reviews.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and disciplined pipeline management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Microsoft data platform, particularly Microsoft Azure and Power BI.
- Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to learn a technical product in depth and engage credibly with technical and compliance stakeholders.
- Prior experience selling or supporting analytics, business intelligence, or data products.
- Familiarity with AI governance and Business Intelligence concepts as they relate to customer-facing analytics.
- Experience with HubSpot CRM.
- Comfort working with AI-driven tools, automations, and workflows to manage and scale sales and customer success activity.
Preferred qualifications are not mandatory.
