A career as a Principal Advisor within the Independent Evaluations P&C; team, in Compliance and Risk Management, means acting as a subject matter expert in regulatory audit and non-compliance risk management.

In this role, you will help guide and evolve independent evaluation practices by developing approaches, programs, processes and control mechanisms that support the Bank’s orientations.

- This position allows you to have a significant impact on the Bank’s effectiveness, quality, reputation and sound risk management through your cross-functional perspective, deep understanding of business issues, professional judgment, influencing skills and ability to anticipate emerging regulatory risks.
- - Your job
- Guide, plan and carry out complex, cross-functional or strategic regulatory compliance evaluation mandates
- Act as a subject matter expert for the team and business lines on regulatory issues requiring in-depth interpretation
- Develop or improve analysis methodologies, audit approaches, processes and control mechanisms to support the Bank’s orientations and the evolution of practices
- Anticipate issues, analyze potential impacts and recommend mitigation solutions adapted to non-compliance risks
- Provide specialized advice to Management and stakeholders, using a cross-functional perspective and a strong understanding of business issues to mitigate risks
- Follow up on action plans, implement validation mechanisms when required and contribute to the continuous improvement of controls
- Use data analysis tools to support audit work, identify trends, detect gaps and support risk prioritization.

Your team Within Compliance, Risk Management,



you will be part of the Independent Evaluations P&C; team and report to a Senior Manager. Prerequisites

- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the sector of activity and seven years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in a related field and five years of relevant experience
- CPA, CIA, CAMS, or CFE designation is considered an asset
- Experience in internal or external auditing, compliance, risk management, or anti-fraud activities
- Knowledge of personal and commercial financial products and services is an asset.

Languages: French, English

Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
