Position Summary The Senior Caseworker plays a key role in supporting individuals and families facing financial, social, and personal challenges. This position is responsible for conducting client assessments, coordinating support services, providing case management, and ensuring clients are connected to appropriate community resources.

The Senior

Caseworker also supports the development of welfare initiatives and provides guidance to caseworkers to ensure consistent, compassionate, and effective client support.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities and duties include:

- Conducting client intake, needs assessments, and follow-up to identify client needs and determine appropriate support.
- Providing case management and connecting clients with internal programs and external community resources.
- Supporting individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, food insecurity, housing challenges, and other social difficulties.
- Developing and maintaining individualized support plans in collaboration with clients.
- Coordinating referrals and liaising with community organizations, service providers, and relevant agencies.
- Providing guidance and support to caseworkers, including assistance with complex cases and service coordination.
- Supporting the implementation of welfare initiatives, community outreach activities, and client support programs.
- Maintaining accurate, confidential, and up-to-date client records and case documentation.
- Using Salesforce or other organizational systems to record client information, case notes, referrals, and follow-up activities.
- Monitoring client progress and ensuring appropriate follow-up and continuity of support.




- Communicating with clients in a respectful, culturally sensitive, and professional manner.
- Supporting volunteers and other team members involved in client service delivery.
- Identifying gaps in services and contributing to improvements in case management processes.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support MFBCS’s programs and operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in case management, social services, community support, or a related role.
- Experience working with individuals and families facing financial hardship or other social challenges.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
- Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accurate records.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar case management systems is an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
- Solid understanding of confidentiality, professional boundaries, and client-centred service.

- This is a hybrid position, combining remote work with onsite responsibilities.
- The role involves direct interaction with clients, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
- The Senior Caseworker must be able to manage sensitive client information and maintain confidentiality.
