Hiring: Senior Programmer Analyst – .NET / ASP.NET Core MVC

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Programmer Analyst to support the design, development, integration, and modernization of a public-facing Student Financial Services application.

The successful candidate will work closely with developers, technical leads, project managers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance applications using ASP.NET Core MVC and contemporary development practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, implement, integrate, and configure application enhancements.
- Develop and maintain secure ASP.NET Core MVC / .NET applications.
- Translate user stories and technical requirements into effective solutions.
- Develop and consume REST APIs.
- Work with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL scripts and stored procedures.
- Participate in UI/UX design and responsive front-end development.
- Analyze and resolve application defects and change requests.
- Conduct code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices.
- Develop automated unit tests and support QA activities.
- Implement application security, privacy, and data confidentiality requirements.
- Support application performance improvements.
- Work with Azure DevOps, development environments, and CI/CD pipelines.




- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily scrums and technical discussions.
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to other developers.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.

Mandatory Requirements
- 8+ years of programming and design experience with .NET and MVC.
- 1+ year of programming and design experience with Identity Management solutions.
- 4+ years of experience writing scripts and stored procedures using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred / Scored Experience
- 4+ years of secure application development focused on data confidentiality and client privacy.
- 4+ years working in Agile development environments.
- 4+ years translating user stories and solution architecture into technical solutions.
- 5+ years of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML/CSS, and UI design.
- 5+ years of responsive UI design and front-end frameworks.
- Experience with UI design systems.
- 5+ years developing REST-based APIs.
- 2+ years with Azure DevOps, pipelines, and development environments.
- 2+ years of experience within the Canadian Public Sector.
- 2+ years developing multilingual software applications.
- Recent experience with Identity Management solutions.
