Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Real Estate & Commercial Legal Assistant to join our Edmonton office. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting lawyers in real estate transactions, financing and lending matters, and commercial legal work.

The successful candidate will manage files from opening to closing, prepare legal and financing documents, coordinate with clients and third parties, track critical deadlines, and ensure transactions progress efficiently. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of sophisticated matters while playing a key role in delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications





- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in Alberta real estate, lending, or commercial law.
- Strong understanding of Alberta real estate transactions, mortgage financing, and related legal documentation.
- Experience preparing and reviewing contracts, financing packages, closing documents, and legal correspondence.
- Ability to manage multiple files and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism.
- Experience with Unity, Epona, ESILaw, Appara, and Microsoft Office is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
