Senior Technical Consultant (Hypervisors (Hyper-V, HPE VME, VMware - Remote contract)

- As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will provide specialized consultation, technical leadership, and strategic guidance for a key customer engagement over the next 6 months, with the opportunity to extend an additional 6 to 12 months based on execution.
- This role serves as the integrator for the customer's IT strategy, driving complex infrastructure designs and ensuring the successful execution of both immediate upgrade initiatives and long-term modernization roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

Infrastructure Project Execution: Support the completion of existing design and implementation activities, including enterprise-wide operating system upgrades and complex, multi-platform hypervisor migrations.

Microsoft Strategic Roadmap: Develop and execute a foundational, multi-phased modernization roadmap for the customer's Microsoft ecosystem. This includes driving the transition of legacy identity and device management solutions to modern hybrid platforms, as well as overseeing enterprise productivity and collaboration tools.

Solution Architecture & Integration: Design and deploy solution architectures for complex, large-scale infrastructure environments, encompassing diverse enterprise compute, storage arrays, and cross-platform operating systems.

End-to-End Leadership: Act as the implementation prime, driving technical solutions from concept and functional design to integration and final deployment.

Defend technical solutions to the customer at the highest executive levels

Operational Readiness & Handoff: Validate operational readiness,



develop comprehensive business-level documentation, and define standardized, repeatable processes. Ensure seamless knowledge transfer and provide hands-off support to project managers and downstream operations groups.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience operating as a Senior Technical Architect.
- Intermediate to advanced certifications in cloud computing, networking, or core Microsoft/Infrastructure technologies.
- Proven track record of success with complex hypervisor migrations (VMware to other hypervisors) and large-scale Windows OS upgrades.
- Demonstrated experience conducting discovery, gap analysis, and target end-state definitions for enterprise Microsoft environments.

Technical Skills & Competencies

- Core Infrastructure: Deep expertise across Compute (Dell, HPE), Storage (HPE Alletra, Everpure, Dell PowerFlex), and Hypervisors (Hyper-V, HPE VME, VMware).
