JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, The Shop-Hand/Labourer will be responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the shop, the facility assets and vehicles, as well as assisting with the light preventative maintenance of vehicles and performing in-town deliveries. The incumbent also carries out the tasks of collection, hauling and disposal of recyclables and any other related duties to customers within Yellowknife and surrounding areas. The position may involve working weekends, overtime and being on standby when required. As this position has potential exposure to bio-hazard substances, vaccinations are recommended. This position is a full/part time role
DUTIES
- Assist with shop, facility and vehicle cleaning
- Assist in cleaning and servicing portable toilettes and washcars
- Assist with light preventative maintenance of vehicles
- Perform in-town deliveries
WHAT YOU BRING
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License with clean drivers abstract (abstract to be provided with application)
- Mechanical Knowledge would be a asset
- Desire / ability to train towards a Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement or Mechanic would be asset.
- Must be in good physical condition
