Spartan Wellness is expanding our national network of Registered Social Workers to support Veterans, First Responders and their families through accessible, high-quality virtual mental healthcare. We are looking for compassionate, experienced Master's-level Registered Social Workers who want the flexibility of virtual practice combined with the opportunity to develop meaningful, ongoing therapeutic relationships with their clients. We currently have patients waiting for care, meaning qualified clinicians can begin building their caseload shortly after completing onboarding. This is an excellent opportunity for a Social Worker looking to supplement an existing practice, build a consistent virtual caseload or expand their work supporting Canada's Veteran and First Responder communities.

What You'll Do

As a Registered Social Worker with Spartan Wellness, you will provide virtual mental health support and therapeutic services to patients, with a particular focus on Veterans and First Responders.

Your responsibilities may include

- Conducting psychosocial assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Providing virtual counselling and evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Supporting individuals experiencing PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns




- Providing trauma-informed care
- Developing ongoing therapeutic relationships with patients
- Coordinating care with healthcare providers and other members of the patient's care team
- Advocating for patients and helping them navigate available healthcare and social support programs
- Assisting patients in accessing appropriate mental health, financial and community resources
- Supporting family members when clinically appropriate and eligible for coverage
- Providing crisis intervention and appropriate referrals when required
- Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Protecting patient confidentiality and adhering to applicable provincial privacy and professional standards
- Collaborating with Spartan Wellness' clinical and administrative teams to support continuity of care

What We're Looking For

Required:

- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Current registration/licensure as a Social Worker in at least one Canadian province or territory
- Registration in good standing with the applicable regulatory college
- Ability to successfully complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Ability to provide confidential virtual care from an appropriate professional environment
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish trust and rapport with patients virtually
- Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills

Preferred:





- Experience working with Veterans and/or First Responders
- Experience supporting individuals with PTSD or other trauma-related conditions
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic approaches
- Experience providing virtual counselling or telehealth services
- Experience with case management and patient advocacy
- Familiarity with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) programs and benefits
- Registration in multiple Canadian provinces or territories
- Fluency in French
