We are seeking 2 Caregivers for our Young Male roommate. NW Calgary The first position is Tuesday-Fridays, 9:30am-4:30pm. This role would primarily be about companionship. The Young man is very energetic and fun. He is very affectionate, and needs someone who is comfortable providing him with attention and engagement. He likes to go out daily, so the shift would consist of assisting in getting him ready (most days he is already ready to go), taking him on Access Calgary Bus service and attending activities and social programs with him. While he is out he requires diaper changes, and assistance with feeding. He is pretty reliant on others for help with most things. He does use a wheelchair when out and about but can walk with assistance short distances within the house.



He also requires the occasional medicine administration through his g-tube. If You are unfamiliar with gtubes they are quite easy to learn and we will provide plenty of training. He also has a stoma in his throat from a previous tracheotomy. We do not do anything other than keep it dry and clean. The second position is a casual position to help fill in when we need an extra hand - this is commonly on the weekends. Sometimes 10am-2pm or 2pm -9:30/10pm. If in evening bathing would be involved as well. 1 Family Managed Care - pay is $20.14/hr paid 2x per month by e-transfer.
