This non-union Research Assistant position under OVCARE requires a self-motivated individual with at least three years of relevant experience. You will lead day-to-day wet lab operations, process biological samples, and maintain comprehensive biospecimen records. Collaboration with laboratory technologists and data scientists is essential for the smooth functioning of the biobank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the gynecologic tumor biobank
- Process and store tissue and study-specific samples
- Maintain inventory records using an online database
- Fulfill researcher requests for biospecimens
- Support compliance with ethical and regulatory standards
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of relevant experience
- University degree or technical program completion
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience with molecular biology techniques preferred
