Assist with the integration of immigrant students at Surrey Schools as a Settlement Worker with casual hours. Fluency in English and Spanish is required for this impactful role.This position involves working closely with newcomer families to help them adjust to life in Canada. You will facilitate access to educational resources, cultural orientation, and emotional support, playing a crucial role in their settlement journey. Your efforts will help students face the challenges of adjustment, ensuring they thrive in their new workplace.Key Responsibilities:- Provide support with school registration and enrollment- Conduct needs assessments and progress follow-ups- Collaborate with school teams to aid transitions- Distribute culturally relevant information and materials- Maintain accurate records of services providedRequirements:- Fluency in English and Spanish required- Minimum two years’ experience with diverse populations- Knowledge of settlement and immigration policies- Strong communication and facilitation skills- Valid B.C.
