Support residents through engaging recreation programs as a Recreation Assistant at The Salvation Army. Under the guidance of the Activity & Volunteer Manager, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of residents.
In this position, you'll assist in planning and implementing recreational activities tailored to the interests of seniors. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with fellow staff and volunteers to create a supportive environment. Your role involves maintaining records, promoting safety, and ensuring effective communication with residents and families.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in recreation or related field
• Experience with seniors and in LTC settings
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to manage stress and maintain rapport with residents
