Design control system architectures based on established standards Perform the calculations required for selecting servo motors and control components Design and perform calculations for pneumatic circuits Develop process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs;) Set up robot configurations Estimate the costs of control systems and electrical installations Develop system operating modes Lead and coordinate the design of control panels with subcontractors Ensure that project budgets are met and objectives are achieved Define the workload based on deadlines and information provided by the client Track project progress Coordinate electrical installation work in collaboration with the electrician Perform machine safety risk assessments Conduct on-site measurements at manufacturing facilities Requirements

DEC or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or automated production engineering 3 years of relevant experience in automation, including programmable logic controllers, servo motors, robotics, variable frequency drives, and pneumatic and hydraulic circuits Comfortable communicating in English Knowledge of the manufacturing and food-processing industries Knowledge of machine safety standards Self-motivated and resourceful Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively Willingness to travel occasionally within Canada and the United States Knowledge of power electrical installations (600 V and below)
