At STRIVE, we don't just fill roles - we partner with organizations and individuals to build long-term success.THE ROLEOur client is a leading distribution organization seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee transportation operations in Delta.This position will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, scheduling, and dispatch of the hourly transportation workforce, while ensuringemployee safety, delivery service, productivity, and operational efficiencyremain top priorities.The Transportation Supervisor will oversee drivers, manage daily routes and delivery schedules, monitor equipment utilization and provide leadership and direction to employees in ahigh-volume, unionized distribution environment .This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can balancesafety, customer service, labour requirements and cost efficiency, while effectively interpreting and applying theCollective Bargaining Agreement .Shift:Sunday to Wednesday,8:00 AM - 6:00 PMRESPONSIBILITIES:Plan daily and weeklymanpower and equipment requirements, minimizing unnecessary overtime.Lead daily shift meetings and communicate key safety, operational and service priorities.Assign daily work to drivers, ensuringsafety, service,



productivity and reliabilitytargets are achieved.Administer daily dispatch and maintain accuratemaster delivery and route schedules .Optimize routes and equipment utilization to maximizesafety, service and cost efficiency .Ensure transportation operations comply with theCollective Bargaining Agreement, company policies and applicable regulations.Monitor employeeproductivity, attendance, reliability, mileage, fuel usage, equipment and deliveryperformance.Audit driver trip records, payroll entries and operational documentation for accuracy and compliance.Provide training, coaching and direction to drivers and warehouse employees regarding SOPs and protected work practices.Investigatenear misses, injuries and vehicle collisions, ensuring corrective actions are completed and communicated.Work closely with Warehouse, Transportation and Customer Service teams to resolve operational and customer-impacting issues.Hold employees accountable through effective coaching, recognition and progressive discipline when required.Monitor service provider performance to ensure service, quality and cost expectations are met.Ensure compliance withfood safety, sanitation, transportation and workplace safety standards .Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity,



service and cost reduction.Maintain accurate operational statistics and prepare timely reports for management.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience inBusiness, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field .3 to 5 years of experiencein high-volume distribution, logistics, transportation, or a similar environment.1 to 3 years of progressive supervisory experience, preferably leading drivers or hourly employees.Experience working in aunionized environmentand knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements is a strong asset.Strong knowledge oftransportation operations, routing, scheduling, and dispatch .Experience with routing and onboard transportation software is a strong asset; knowledge ofSyntellic, Paragon or Xatanetis preferred.Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills.Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with the ability to remain composed in a high-pressure environment.Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and produce accurate reports.Demonstrated commitment tohealth & safety, food safety and regulatory compliance .Self-motivated, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.COMPENSATION:$82,000 to $92,000 depending on experience.10% annual bonus.Comprehensive benefits package.Opportunity to join an established organization supporting a high-profile foodservice distribution operation.Strong opportunities for qualified growth and development.And more!#INDSTRIVE3#LI-SR#J-18808-Ljbffr
