Ledcor is looking for Skilled Turnaround Laborer to join our team supporting major shutdowns and turnarounds across Alberta’s industrial facilities. If you thrive in fast-paced outage environments where every hour counts, this is your opportunity to be part of critical work that keeps plants running safely and efficiently. From isolations and tie-ins to complex maintenance scopes, you’ll play a key role in getting units back online—on schedule and without compromise. This is not routine construction work. It’s high-intensity, short-duration execution where skilled tradespeople bring focus, precision, and teamwork to meet demanding turnaround timelines. Essential Responsibilities: Perform general labour duties to support shutdown and turnaround activities in industrial environments Assist tradespeople with maintenance, repairs, equipment replacement, and site preparation activities Handle and move materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently Inspect and prepare rigging equipment, including slings, chains, hooks, shackles, and lifting devices Follow all permit, isolation, and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO)
procedures to ensure protected work execution Adapt to changing priorities and support critical path activities in a fast-paced shutdown environment Maintain productivity and quality standards during extended shifts and compressed project schedules Participate in FLHAs, toolbox talks, and safety programs while contributing to a strong safety culture Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople, and other crew members to achieve project objectives Ensure loads are properly balanced, secured, and compliant with weight and capacity requirements Qualifications: Previous labourer experience in industrial, construction, oil and gas, or maintenance environments is considered an asset Experience working on shutdowns, turnarounds, or outage projects is a must Ability to safely use common hand tools and equipment Strong understanding of rigging practices Experience working with cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions, including lifting, carrying, climbing, and standing for extended periods Ability to work 10-12+ hour shifts, overtime, and consecutive days during shutdown periods Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and productivity Working Conditions: Travel provided Various shifts available Work in all weather conditions Weekly
