Lead the design and architecture of novel coherent optical pluggables Architect and implement a new coherent optical portfolio for Nokia platforms and other hosts Develop product architectures and requirements for packet-optical telecommunications products based on business requirements, use cases, and OIF, ITU, and IEEE standards Evaluate trade-offs among cost, functionality, capacity, and performance Work with Product Line Management to define system and product concepts, features, requirements, customer use cases, and experience expectations Translate product requirements into system architectural specifications Collaborate with architects, ASIC designers, optical front-end designers, and hardware/software developers Lead cross-functional feature teams and build consensus on product architecture and technical concepts Support software development teams with architecture guidance and maintain implementation alignment Document product architecture, requirements, and concepts in explicit, concise specifications Investigate feature requests and customer requirements, propose solutions, and assess feasibility Collaborate with product documentation teams on customer documentation and operational concepts Requirements

Broad systems knowledge garnered by years of experience specifying and/or leading architectural specifications across multi-disciplines Ability to think big-picture and deliver high quality requirements/architecture specifications for end-to-end integrated systems Experience defining requirements for Fault Management, Performance Management, Configuration Management, Service Provisioning and Control Plane features of multi-layer networking products,



especially L0 and L1 layers Experience with optical networking technologies and standards including OTN, Ethernet, and MACsec encryption Familiarity with CMIS, C-CMIS, and OIF specifications Experience designing and validating link-level control algorithms and optical performance monitoring Excellent communication and presentation skills Usage of modern AI tools such as Cursor and AI-SDLC Advanced graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent education Ph.D. plus minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, or M.Sc. plus minimum 12 years of relevant work experience in optical transport systems or related telecommunications fields Core Competencies
